Mumbai reported 289 Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the overall toll to 7,38,243. Also, nine people succumbed to the virus, and the death toll climbed to 15,968. The vaccination drive in the metropolis has been suspended for Thursday and Friday to unavailability of doses. Meanwhile, in a slew of new relaxations, the Maharashtra government allowed the reopening of malls in the state at 50 per cent capacity but only for fully vaccinated individuals. It also allowed the extension of timing for hotels and restaurants till 10 pm which was earlier allowed till 4 pm.
