Mumbai: BMC announces water cut on December 22, 23 due to major repair works – Mumbai Mirror

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that some parts of the city will face water cut for 24 hours due to major repair works.

According to the information provided by the civic body, the water supply department is taking up major repairs to chlorine injection point on Vaitarna mains between Agra Road Valve Complex to Paygaon, Yevai, in Thane district.

It is also taking up repairs of a 1,400 mm main in Ghatkopar.

This may cause 15 per cent water cut from 10 am on December 22 (Tuesday) to 10 am on December 23 (Wednesday). Water supply will be completely cut off in some areas of Ghatkopar and Sakinaka (N and L wards) of Mumbai.

The BMC has also appealed to the people to store water and use water sparingly during the water cut period.
