Veteran journalist, freedom fighter Dinu Randive passes away in Mumbai – Mumbai Mirror

Veteran journalists and freedom fighter Dinu Randive passed away in Mumbai on Tuesday.

He was 95-year-old. Randive breathed his last at his residence in Dadar.

His demise comes a month after his wife Savita passed away.

Randive started his journalistic career in 1956. He also participated in the freedom struggle, the Sanyukta Maharashtra movement and the Goa liberation movement.

In June last year, he was bestowed with the RedInk Lifetime Achievement award for his immense contribution in the field of journalism

Dinu Randive being conferred RedInk Lifetime Achievement award.

Last year, he was also conferred with a lifetime achievement award by the Mantralaya and Vidhimandal Vartahar Sangh, an association of journalists covering Maharashtra legislature and secretariat.

“With a heavy heart, we mourn the passing away of veteran journalist Dinu Randive. An inspiration for thousands of journalists,” Tweeted Mumbai Press Club.
