On the day that Mumbai and other big cities saw shops reopening as a part of the state’s unlock 1.0 plan ‘Mission Begin Again’, Mumbai added 54 deaths to its coronavirus tally, with Maharashtra reporting 139 deaths on Friday. Maharashtra has now more than 80000 COVID19 patients in the state.Morning walkers, joggers have returned to Mumbai’s popular waterfronts where norms of social distancing will have to be followed. The doubling rate of cases has improved from 12 days on May 15, 2020 to 20 days now.With complaints still coming in on unavailability of beds for patients, the BMC has now decided that beds can be allocated as ward level.
