MUMBAI: For the first time, Mumbai emerged as the most forgetful city in India, followed by Kolkata and Prayagraj. Uber on Thursday released the fourth edition of its Uber Lost and Found Index 2020. The index is a snapshot of the most frequently forgotten items, most forgetful cities, and days of the week and times of the year Uber riders tend to report items as lost in India.
Phones continue to top the list of most forgotten items in India, but mangoes, teddy bears and tricycle have also been reported lost. An Uber official said, “Over the last year, we’ve seen objects, including phones, cameras, and bags top the list of items left in Ubers across India, followed by wallets, keys, clothing, and umbrellas in the top 10 most forgotten item category.” Indians also forgot unique things such as acrylic artificial teeth, mangoes, medical prescriptions, exam notes, kitchen tawas, teddy bears and brooms, the report said.
Bengaluru, the third most forgetful city, dropped to fifth spot. Fridays and Thursdays were the most common days to report lost items, especially around lunch and post-lunch lazy lull from 1pm-3pm.
